Morgan Hill, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Accident on U.S. Highway 101
Morgan Hill, CA (March 19, 2019) – On the evening of March 16th, a fatal motorcycle accident happened on U.S. Highway 101 at around 5:10 p.m.
According to the reports, a 30-year-old man from San Jose was driving his 2011 Yamaha R1 motorcycle on the highway, while a 45-year-old woman was driving a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck right in front of the cyclist. When the woman driving the Silverado slowed down, the motorcyclist was unable to stop in time and crashed into the back of the truck. The impact of the collision ejected the motorcyclist off of his bike and onto the highway.
When the paramedics arrived to help, they found the man seriously injured and rushed him to San Jose Regional Medical Center, where he later passed away due to his injuries.
The police are currently investigating this accident to gather more facts and determine who will be deemed liable for this tragic crash.
We send our condolences to the deceased motorcyclist’s family, as we know how difficult it is to lose a loved one in an accident that could have potentially been prevented.
Motorcycle Accidents in California
The leading cause of most motorcycle accidents is other drivers failing to recognize motorcyclists on the road. Because motorcycles are smaller and harder to see, most drivers are not checking for them even though they should be. When drivers are already distracted by miscellaneous things like a cell phone, food, other passengers, and more, they are less likely to check their rearview mirrors and blind spots for oncoming motorcyclists.
For those who have lost loved ones in motorcycle accidents, it is important to work with a California wrongful death attorney to help with filing a wrongful death lawsuit.
At Brady Law Group, we understand how complex wrongful death lawsuits can be, but we have the knowledge and resources needed to pursue all potentially liable parties for damages and losses.
