Motorcyclist Killed During Brutal Head-On Collision In San Rafael, CA

Devendra Dilip Joglekar Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101

San Rafael, California (June 19, 2018) – A motorcyclist was thrown from his bike after a head-on collision with a vehicle on U.S. Highway 101. Resources indicate the accident occurred near North Pedro Road in the San Rafael area between 11:15 and 11:25 PM. After being tossed from his vehicle, the motorcyclist collided with a second vehicle and was killed instantly. Authorities have identified the deceased as 43-year old San Jose resident Devendra Dilip Joglekar. The identities of the two drivers of the cars have not yet been disclosed to the public.

Exact details surrounding the crash have not fully been determined. Based on initial reports Joglekar was struck by the first vehicle, a Mazda, and thrown from his bike at 11:15 PM while traveling down the road on his Harley Davidson. He collided with the second vehicle and died from his traumatic injuries at approximately 11:25 PM. Authorities have not determined which motorist was responsible for the crash and, ultimately, the death of Joglekar.

Presently, the police are investigating the nature of the crash to examine potential faults on part of the drivers and causes of the crash.
