Multi-Car Crash Injures 1 in Temecula, CA

Crash on 15 Freeway and Santiago Road

Temecula, CA (June 17, 2018) – A multi-vehicle collision took place on Saturday evening in Temecula, California and left one person with substantial injuries.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on June 16 around 5 o’clock in the evening. The accident involved at least five vehicles including one motorcycle and took place in the northbound lanes of the 15 Freeway near the Santiago Road off-ramp.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident and directed traffic around the area. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered one individual who’d been flung from their vehicle and was lying on the traffic lanes. Care was administered to the individual at the scene, and while severe, the full extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.

Paramedics cared for others involved in the collision, but the names and number of the victims have not been released as of posting time. Traffic was directed around the scene of the accident as first responders documented the scene and took statements from those involved. The normal flow of traffic resumed by 7 p.m.

An investigation is ongoing into the accident and will include information such as the speed of the vehicles at the time of the crash and the violation of any traffic regulations and guidelines in making a determination as to the cause of the collision.
