Multi-Vehicle Collision and DUI Accident Leaves Three People Injured and Results in One Arrest
Eastvale, California (June 22, 2018) – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported that three people were injured during a multi-vehicle accident and alleged DUI incident that took place at Limonite Avenue near the Eastvale Gateway at 2:04 PM. Police have identified the culprit as 24-year old Lake Elsinore resident Kaleb Diaz, who has been charged on accounts of drunk driving and causing injuries for three people. The identities of the other drivers and their passengers have not been revealed to public records.
According to the Eastvale Police Department, Diaz was driving a gray Dodge Ram pickup truck in the vicinity of Limonite Avenue when he failed to stop at a red light at the intersection. Without warning, Diaz plowed into oncoming traffic and struck into several more vehicles. The collision involved six vehicles in total. No serious injuries were reported, and the three victims were transported to local hospitals to receive treatment for minor wounds.
Diaz was not injured from the collision, and police later arrested him for DUI, which ultimately caused the multi-vehicle accident. Officials believe he had consumed alcoholic drinks before driving. Ultimately, he was interred at Robert Presley Detention Center.
