National City, CA – Pedestrian Dies during Fatal Accident along Interstate 805 Freeway near 4th Street

National City, CA (July 24, 2018) – Local news sources have provided new details regarding the identity of the man who died as the result of a fatal pedestrian collision along the Interstate 805 Freeway, in the vicinity of 4th Street. The incident happened at approximately 4:07 AM in the early morning hours on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. As of now, officials have identified the deceased pedestrian as 62-year old Leo Hawkins. No further details about the driver involved in the crash have been released.

According to the reports, Hawkins had been walking along the freeway’s right shoulder and had attempted to walk across the main road.
