Is California a Dangerous State for Drivers?
Over 3,000 people died in car accidents in California in 2017. Driver distraction is one of the common factors in many accidents. Texting, changing the radio station, talking to passengers, putting on make-up or even shaving can cause commuters to become distracted long enough for an accident to occur, especially in rush-hour traffic.
Drugs and alcohol cause severe driver distraction that is almost guaranteed to lead to serious accidents or death.
