Pedestrian Accident and Wrongful Death Attorney
Train accidents are handled quite a bit differently than the average traffic collision in that if the train operator is found to have caused the accident, the train company will likely be held liable. Investigators will certainly be looking to determine exactly how and why Connacher was on the tracks and in a position to be struck by the train. They will likely be looking at the speed and behavior of the train, as well as Connachers’ condition prior to the accident.
Depending on the results of the investigation, there may be possible grounds for a wrongful death lawsuit for the family members of the victim. Many family members will often choose to file a claim for compensation in order to recover the expenses that arise after the sudden and unexpected death of a loved one. Albeit, that decision can only be made by the victims’ family.
