Newark, CA – One Victim Injured in Car Crash with Train at Cedar Boulevard and Isabel Avenue

Newark, CA (July 15, 2018) – One person was reportedly hospitalized with critical injuries following a collision with a train that occurred on Sunday morning in Newark. The accident that took place at Cedar Boulevard and Isabel Avenue was reported by the Alameda County Fire Department just before 9:00 a.m.

According to fire department officials, the vehicle involved collided with the train for reasons that are yet to be verified. Officials went on to say that the driver of the vehicle involved was the only occupant of that vehicle when the collision occurred. Emergency responders promptly on the scene in order to assist any injured victims. The one seriously hurt driver involved was immediately transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical. At the time of the report, the victim was listed in critical condition.

There was no information made available in regards to the cause of this major collision. Neither the name nor the specifics of the victims’ injuries have been released at this time.
