Newhall, CA – Cecilio Vasquez Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Lyons Avenue
Newhall, CA (March 4, 2019) On the night of March 3rd, a fatal pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Railroad Avenue at approximately 6:16 p.m. According to the reports, a vehicle struck a 61-year-old named Cecilio Vasquez at the three-way intersection.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, Vasquez had already succumbed to his injuries. The police are currently investing whether or not he was within the crosswalk at the time of the crash. So far, they believe Vasquez may have been homeless. Fortunately, the driver responsible remained at the crash site and cooperated with the authorities as they investigated and cleared the intersection.
