Newman, CA- Semi Truck Crash Causes Major Injuries on I-5 at Shiells Rd.

Newman, CA (May 2, 2019)- The Interstate 5 Freeway at Shiells Road was the site of a crash involving two big rig trucks, a white pickup truck, and a silver van at around 6:11 am Thursday.

At least two people sustained major injuries in the crash and were taken by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment.

A freeway clean-up crew was brought to the scene with a sweeper truck to clear debris from the roadway.

Further details, including possible causes for the crash, are not available at this time. The crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
