2-Car Crash at Highway 33 and Sanches Road, Vehicle Lands in Watered Ditch
Newman, California (June 15, 2018)Â – A 2-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 33 near the Sanches Road exit, a collision which left one vehicle trapped in a watered ditch.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 11:31 a.m. on Friday and involved a dark blue 4-door Sedan Sentra and a GMC Envoy. Details regarding the early stages of the crash are still being investigated, but the GMC Envoy ultimately moved off the road before coming to a rest in a watered ditch beside the intersection.
Upon entering the ditch, water began to flood the vehicle, initially trapping the driver inside before they were able to escape the Envoy. As of posting, it was not specified if the driver was able to escape themselves or if they required the assistance of those at the scene.
The driver of the second vehicle received substantial injuries during the crash and was subsequently transported to a local hospital to receive treatment.
The vehicles were later towed away by Docs Towing and Dutras Towing
