North Highlands, CA – Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Purpose by Hit-and-Run Motorist on Watt and Orange Grove Avenues
North Highlands, CA (July 26, 2018) – Authorities suspect that a man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Del Taco parking lot at Watt and Orange Grove Avenues was hit on purpose Wednesday night. The late evening crash that took place at 4601 Watt Avenue resulted in the death of the pedestrian at approximately 8:30 p.m.
According to authorities, it seems as though the victim was struck by the hit-and-run driver on purpose. A local business owner who operates across from Del taco where the crash occurred stated that the vehicle in question is a pickup truck and that the entire incident was captured on a surveillance video. Authorities received the footage of the event on Wednesday night and are currently going over all the evidence.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time. Likewise, there has been no more information provided in regards to the events that led to this fatal crash. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
