North Highlands, CA – Two People Injured in DUI Crash at Kirby Way and Walerga Road
North Highlands, CA (November 27, 2018) – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday after a multi-vehicle collision in North Highlands. The accident took place around 7:09 am at the intersection of Kirby Way and Walerga Road.
Per the initial reports, four unidentified vehicles were approaching an intersection when for unknown reasons they collided causing one of the vehicles to catch fire. California Highway Patrol and Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to the scene to help the victims. One of the patients was arrested on suspicion of DUI and driving a stolen vehicle. The suspect was hospitalized at Mercy San Juan Medical Center. Officers will analyze the evidence collected on the crash site and establish the person responsible for this tragic accident.
