North Hills, CA. Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Plummer Street Results in Fatality
North Hills, CA. (July 6, 2018) – According to a local and reliable news source, as well as the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman who has yet to be identified was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Friday morning near the intersection of Sepulveda Boulevard and Plummer Street. The victim was reportedly crossing westbound Plummer Street, just outside of a crosswalk.
Witnesses have stated that the vehicle that struck the woman was apparently speeding down Plummer Street at roughly 80 mph. The immense impact of the accident sent the woman’s body approximately 150 feet away from the vehicle. The victim’s body was found in the vicinity of Sepulveda Boulevard. The female pedestrian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
A witness reportedly followed the suspect who was driving a BMW along Plummer Street. That witness was able to keep up with the suspect until they reached the I-405 Freeway where the suspect managed to evade the chase. The Los Angeles Police Department is currently in charge of the investigation at this time.
