Norwalk, CA – Marilyn Haight Killed in Accident at Pioneer Boulevard and Lindale Street

Norwalk, CA – (November 25, 2018) – Police have identified the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening as 79-year-old Marilyn Haight of Norwalk. The deadly accident was reported at about 5:00 pm on November 21st at the intersection of Pioneer Boulevard and Lindale Street.

Officials have confirmed, Haight was attempting to cross the street at an intersection in Norwalk when an oncoming vehicle failed to yield and struck her in the intersection. According to first responders, she was found lying on the road unconscious following the collision. Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and transported Haight to a local hospital with major injuries.  Sadly, she was pronounced dead at 7:45 pm the same day. According to authorities, the driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene.

Police are still trying to locate the driver and the vehicle involved.
