Oakhurst, CA – Chris Hartesvelt Injured in DUI Crash on Road 426 near Llama Ranch

Oakhurst, CA – (November 27, 2018) – Authorities are investigating a DUI crash that injured 65-year-old Chris Hartesvelt of North Fork Sunday afternoon. The accident occurred just before 3:40 pm on, November 25th, on Road 426 near the Llama Ranch at the top of the grade.

Reportedly, Hartesvelt was driving a Subaru Forester west on Road 426 when he rounded the corner and crashed head-on into a Nissan Versa, driven by Casey Craig of North Fork. Craig was traveling southbound before he lost control crossing the double yellow lines into the path of the Subaru. Emergency crews along with paramedics rushed to the crash site and stabilized Hartesvelt before transporting him by ground ambulance to Kaiser Medical Center in Fresno for treatment. Meanwhile, Craig was trapped inside the Nissan and firefighters had to extricate Craig and airlift him to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment of injuries to the head. Craig was later placed under arrest for felony DUI causing injury.

Police are still actively investigating this accident.
