Oakland, CA. Accident Involving Pedestrian Results in Injuries on 80 Freeway

Oakland, CA. (July 8, 2018) – A pedestrian accident resulted in injuries Saturday morning on the I-80 Freeway in Oakland, according to the California Highway Patrol. The accident took place at approximately 9:13 a.m. on the 80 Freeway eastbound underneath San Pablo Dam Road. There were two vehicles involved in the accident.

The report stated that two vehicles and a pedestrian were all a part of the collision. One vehicle had apparently struck the center divider and stopped. A female occupant reportedly exited the vehicle and started to run across the 80 Freeway. While the woman was crossing the freeway, she was allegedly hit by a second vehicle.

Responders arrived to assist the victim after the accident. The victim apparently suffered only minor injuries due to contact with the vehicle. The authorities are presently conducting a full investigation into this accident.
