Pedestrian Accidents in California
Unfortunately, thousands of pedestrians are hit or killed by vehicles every year in California. Most of these accidents are caused by driver’s error, which includes not paying attention due to cell phone usage, alcohol consumption, fatigue, other passengers, and/or any other distractions. California laws require all vehicles to yield or come to a complete stop as they approach pedestrians. This law applies even if pedestrians are in the middle of the roadway. Drivers are expected to be aware and alert at all times.
For those who have lost loved ones in pedestrian accidents, it is important to speak with a California wrongful death lawyer to possibly file a wrongful death lawsuit.
At Brady Law Group, we have helped countless families over the past 24 years file wrongful death lawsuits after losing loved ones in pedestrian accidents.
