Oakland, CA – Injury Motorcycle Accident on I-80 Near Bay Bridge Toll Plaza

Oakland, CA (January 16, 2019) – Yesterday morning, a motorcycle accident took place on the Interstate 80 Freeway that led to injuries in Oakland. The accident took place near the Bay Bridge toll plaza.

Police reported that a man, whose name has not been released, was riding a black motorcycle in the westbound lanes of the road when he was reportedly struck by a blue Toyota Scion. Police are not sure what caused the driver to collide with the motorcyclist at this time.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene of the accident and rendered aid to all injured parties. The motorcyclist received a variety of injuries and their condition is not known at this time.

Authorities say that a third vehicle may have been involved in the accident and are continuing to investigate the incident. The detectives handling the case continue to try to determine what happened at the scene. Their investigation into the matter continues.
