Oakland, CA – Recycling Truck Employee Injured When Object Explodes in Truck
Oakland, CA (March 20, 2019) – An explosion that occurred at approximately 8:00 a.m. on March 19th injured the driver of a California Waste Solutions truck.
The explosion occurred after the employee used the truck to move recyclables from a recycling bin into the truck. The material in the truck’s scoop exploded, sending debris flying and injuring the driver.
The California Waste Solutions employee was taken to the hospital with injuries to his face and body. He is reportedly in stable condition.
The Oakland bomb squad was called in to try to determine what caused the explosion inside the truck. An investigation is ongoing the cause of the accident.
