Oceanside, CA. Hit-and-Run Crash on Mission Avenue Injures Pedestrian

Oceanside, CA. (July 7, 2018) – According to the police, a man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a motor vehicle Friday night on Mission Avenue in Oceanside. The pedestrian accident was reported at approximately 1:49 p.m. in the vicinity of North Horne Street. The driver of the vehicle that struck the man reportedly fled the scene immediately afterward.

When the authorities arrived on the scene, they apparently came across a man lying down in the road. He had evidently been struck by a black sedan shortly before police arrived on the scene. Emergency responders quickly transported the victim to a nearby hospital to be treated for major injuries. The man reportedly told investigators that the hit-and-run driver who had struck him apparently stopped at the scene for a very short time. After the brief stop, the driver fled the scene.

There was no more information made available regarding how the accident occurred. Police are currently conducting a detailed investigation into the crash in order to confirm the events that led to this accident.
