Ojai, CA – Fatal Highway 33 Motorcycle Crash
Ojai, CA (November 3, 2018) – One person died in a traffic accident involving a motorcycle on Saturday morning on a highway in Ojai. The accident transpired at approximately 10:40 am on Highway 33 near the Camino Cielo exit.
Per the initial report, an unidentified vehicle and a motorcyclist were traveling on Highway 33 approaching the Camino Cielo exit when for indeterminate reasons, the motorcycle and vehicle collided into one another. Sometime later, the California Highway Patrol and the Ventura County Fire Department rushed to the crash site and attempted to revive the motorcyclist, but despite rescue efforts, the victim lost his life and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators reported that the vehicle involved in the accident was possibly a Toyota Prius. Tow trucks were dispatched to clear the roadway of the wreckage. No additional details have been disclosed identifying the people involved in this deadly accident.
The cause of the crash is currently under an active investigation.
