One Person Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Myrtle Avenue in Eureka

A local news source reported Tuesday afternoon, June 12, that a motorcyclist collided with a vehicle in Eureka. The crash happened on Myrtle Avenue shortly after noon. According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was riding down Myrtle Avenue behind a white Sedan. The Sedan reportedly had to quickly slam on the brakes for a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street.

Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was unable to stop fast enough and subsequently crashed into the rear end of the vehicle. The motorcyclist was quickly transported to a local hospital to undergo evaluation and treatment for any injuries. No other information on this accident is available at this time, although injuries are believed to have been relatively minor.

Police are currently conducting an investigation in order to understand each and every factor involved in the accident.
