Pedestrian Accidents in California
An average of 64,000 pedestrians are injured annually in the United States. Most pedestrian accidents are caused by drivers not paying attention, especially if the accident occurs at an intersection. If drivers are looking down for a few seconds as they drive through intersections or make turns, they could be unaware of a pedestrian crossing the street and accidentally strike them. Sadly, most pedestrians who are hit by vehicles sustain serious injuries that either take a long time to heal or never fully heal.
