California Accidents Involving Motorcycles and Larger Vehicles
According to the Insurance Information Institute, crashes between larger vehicles such as trucks, vans, and SUVs added up to 18,675 deadly crashes and1,198,000 injury crashes in the United States in 2015.
Motorcycles are the smallest and most defenseless vehicles on the road. While damage is likely to take place whenever a car and motorcycle collide, a crash between a motorcycle and a larger vehicle such as a truck, van, or SUV is almost guaranteed to result in injury or death to the motorcyclist.
