Orange County, CA – DUI Crash on 5 Freeway
Orange County, CA ( January 9, 2019) Shortly after midnight on January 9th, a DUI crash happened on the 5 Freeway, just south of Beach Boulevard. According to the reports, a woman was driving a Crown Victoria when she suddenly hit a sedan and an SUV. The woman’s vehicle caught on fire right after impact. When emergency crews arrived, they pulled the woman out of the burning vehicle and tended to the two other injured victims as well. One person suffered from minor injuries and another person was transported to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition. The police arrested the woman and took her into custody for driving under the influence.
We are glad that the woman was pulled out of her flaming vehicle within enough time to save her life. We hope all of the injured victims fully recover without any complications.
Vehicle Accidents in California
Recent studies show that between 800,000 and 1,500,000 drivers are arrested every year for driving under the influence in the United States. The reason driving under the influence is considered a dangerous crime is because so many accidents result into people getting seriously injured or losing their lives. Fortunately, there were no lives lost in this accident. Because this accident was caused by negligent behavior, the two injured victims could file personal injury lawsuits with the help of a California personal injury attorney.
At Brady Law Group, we don’t believe our clients should be held financially responsible for damages caused by another driver’s negligence, which is why we work hard to ensure our clients win their lawsuits and are fully compensated for medical expenses, vehicle damages, loss of earnings, and more.
