Pedestrian Accidents in California
Within the first six months of 2018, approximately 432 pedestrians lost their lives after being hit by vehicles. Whenever pedestrian accidents happen between the hours of midnight and 6:00 a.m., the cause is often drunk driving. When drivers are under the influence, they are more likely to speed through intersections and accidentally run people over since their minds are impaired. If more drivers made better decisions on the road, less people would lose their lives.
