Pacoima, CA – Semi-Truck Jackknifes in Crash on I-5 Just Before CA-118

Pacoima, CA (May 11, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving semi-trucks and a pickup truck occurred on May 10th around 5 a.m. during rush hour, that injured at least one person.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this injury accident.  According to CHP officers, the crash occurred around 5 a.m. in the middle northbound lanes just before the 118 Freeway.

The accident involved several semi-trucks and a pickup truck and created a massive backup on the 5 Freeway in Pacoima. A semi-truck jackknifed, and it left debris on the freeway. Several vehicles ran over the debris, which was scattered across the roadway.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers.  The injured parties were transported to local hospitals for treatment and further evaluation.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
