Statistics About Seatbelt Use in California
The Center for the Study of Disease Control and Prevention produced a report in 2011 that looked at seatbelt use in all 50 states. In the report, 93.2% of Californians surveyed said they use seatbelts regularly.
While 93.2% may sound like a high number, the fact is that the law in California requires seatbelt use at all times. While seatbelts will not prevent an accident, they can make a significant difference if you are injured in a crash.
