Palm Desert, CA (December 3, 2018) On the morning of December 3rd, a four-car collision took place at the intersection of Dinah Shore Drive and Monterey Avenue. Officials reported that the accident happened at around 10:41 a.m. for reasons unknown. When emergency crews arrived at the scene to offer their assistance, they found four people injured. They had to extricate one injured victim who was trapped inside of their vehicle. They transported all four injured victims to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment. The severity of their injuries is also unknown at this time. The accident is currently under investigation.

We wish all four victims a fast recovery as we understand how traumatic vehicle accidents can be for all parties involved. Although injuries are painful and inconvenient, each person is very fortunate to have survived the accident since thousands of people suffer fatal injuries every year.

Vehicle Accidents in California

On average, over 200,00 people are injured in vehicle accidents every year in California. The most common injuries people suffer are broken bones, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and internal injuries. It’s vital that injured victims seek medical evaluation as soon as possible so that they can receive adequate treatment and avoid future complications. It’s also important to collect all of the evidence possible, including medical reports in the event that personal injury lawsuits are filed. Because there were so many vehicles involved and so many injuries, it’s likely that personal injury lawsuits will get filed.

The police are investigating the cause of this accident as well as all liable parties. Determining liability can be complicated as there are many factors to consider, such as vehicle conditions, road conditions, weather conditions, and whether negligence played a role. In the event that all parties involved are partially responsible, then the amount of reimbursement for damages will reduce according to the percentage of responsibility.
