Palm Springs, CA – Marie Alfano Killed and 1 Injured in Car Collision on E Alejo Rd
Palm Springs, CA (June 6, 2019) On the morning of June 5th, a fatal car collision happened at the intersection of East Alejo Road and North Burton Way. A Nissan Titan pickup truck and a Toyota Camry crashed into each other at the intersection. The accident happened near the Palm Springs International Airport at around 11:50 a.m.
When an ambulance arrived at the intersection, they found both drivers injured at the scene. They transported the victims to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries. Unfortunately, one of the drivers died at the hospital. The driver has been identified as 86-year-old Marie Alfano.
Investigators are still figuring out the cause of the accident and who will be deemed liable.
