How California Firefighters Extricate People from Vehicles
When a car is seriously damaged in an accident, the damage can prevent victims from leaving the vehicle on their own. While extrications seem very dramatic when you see them on television, the hard part of vehicle extrication is the analysis that must be done before the extrication tools can be used. Firefighters must examine the position of the vehicle, the type of damage, and other factors before starting extrication.
