Pinole, California – Injuries Reported after Traffic Accident on Eastbound 80 Freeway

Pinole, California (July 9, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported that a traffic accident took place on the eastbound lanes of the 80 Freeway, near the Richmond Parkway off-ramp. The incident occurred at approximately 9:45 PM at night on Friday, July 6, 2018. Authorities have not revealed any detailed information concerning the identities of the people involved in the three-vehicle collision at this time.

According to the CHP report, a Honda Civic was traveling eastbound on the 80 Freeway when, for an indeterminate reason, it collided with two unidentified vehicles. Afterward, first responders confirmed that one individual was injured during the crash and was transported to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center to receive additional treatment. As of now, the extent of the victim’s injuries has not been disclosed.

Crews later removed the wrecked vehicles from the crash site.

As of now, the investigation is ongoing.
