Pittsburg, CA – Two Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision on Highway 4 by Railroad Avenue

Pittsburg, CA (July 18, 2018) – A local and reliable news source in Pittsburg reported two people hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident on Highway 4 Wednesday afternoon. The crash that involved five vehicles took place between the Railroad Avenue and Bailey Road exits at approximately 12:30 p.m.

According to a report that was filed by the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Highway 4 between an Infinity, a Lexus, a Kia, a Jeep, and a Nissan. The reason for the collision is still unknown at this time. The preliminary report stated that the accident occurred when the Nissan struck one of the other vehicles before crashing into the others.

Paramedics were reportedly called to the scene immediately in order to attend to the victims. One man in the Jeep and a woman in the Infinity were apparently injured due to the impact of the crash.
