Pomona, CA – Daniel Paez Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on White Avenue and Interstate 10

Pomona, CA – (December 12, 2018) – Daniel Paez, has been identified as the 18-year-old man who was killed Monday in a single-vehicle crash on the White Avenue off-ramp.  According to 911 dispatchers, the accident was reported just before 3:40 am on December 10^th.

Per the initial report, Paez was driving a 2004 Ford Expedition SUV at a high rate of speed while exiting the freeway. He then lost control of the vehicle and swerved onto the right-hand shoulder as he went through a curve, before finally hitting a pole and then a chain-link fence. The vehicle overturned multiple times before ending up on White Avenue. First responders discovered Paez had suffered fatal wounds upon impact of the collision and a 15-year-old female, not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. A 17-year-old girl and an 18-year old man were also critically injured in the accident. Emergency crews rushed the victims to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The current condition of the victims was not immediately established. Police are still actively conducting an investigation into this accident.
