Pomona, CA – Justin Silva Killed in DUI Accident on I-10

Pomona, CA (June 24, 2019) On the morning of June 23^rd, a DUI accident happened on the Interstate 10 Freeway, not far from Dudley Street. A 2007 Mazda CX-9 was headed eastbound on the freeway when it crashed into the driver’s side of a 2002 Honda Civic. The Honda had been stopped in the number 1 lane on the freeway right before the crash. The impact of the crash caused the Mazda to then crash into a 2002 Cadillac Escalade in the carpool lane. The major accident happened at approximately 4:32 a.m.

When the paramedics arrived at the scene, they found the driver of the Honda dead in his vehicle. He has been identified as 30-year-old Justin Silva. The driver of the Mazda, Miguel Rubalcava, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the Cadillac, 30-year-old Ricardo Gonzalez, was not injured.

The police are currently investigating the accident, but so far, they have arrested Rubalcava on suspicion of driving under the influence.
