Poway, CA – Four Passengers in Van Seriously Injured in Car Accident on Espola Road

Poway, CA (February 28, 2019) – In Poway, four passengers received serious injuries in a car accident that took place on Espola Road on Wednesday morning, February 27.

At the time, police say that a van had been traveling north on the roadway when, suddenly, the driver steered into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a Toyota Camry.

A medical team was called out to the scene of the accident, where they found the driver of the van trapped in the vehicle. Firefighters had to cut the door open so that they could free the driver.

All four occupants and the driver were rushed to the hospital. The operator of the van received the most severe injuries, which were to the knees and back.

The driver of the other vehicle was unharmed and cooperated with investigators. The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
