Ramona, CA – Pedestrian Dies after Fatal Suspected Hit-and-Run at Intersection of Highland Valley Road and Handlebar Road

Ramona, CA (August 14, 2018) – Local authorities reported that a pedestrian died as the result of a fatal accident and suspected hit-and-run that took place at the intersection of Highland Valley Road and Handlebar Road. The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 PM at night on Monday, August 13, 2018. At this time, no detailed information concerning the identities of the deceased pedestrian or the suspect driver has been revealed.

Based on the report from the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle plowed into an unidentified female pedestrian along the junction of Highland Valley and Handlebar. Later, medical personnel sadly reported the victim died after the impact.

Presently, law enforcement officials are conducting a search for the suspect vehicle, described as a dark-colored Lincoln SUV or sedan.
