Redding, CA – 4 Injured in Serious Car Crash on Highway 273

Redding, CA (April 30, 2019) On the afternoon of April 30^th, a serious car crash happened on Highway 273 near Westwood Avenue.

A white GMC pickup truck was speeding on the highway when its driver tried to turn abruptly and collided with a Toyota Scion sedan. The impact caused the Scion to proceed through the intersection and onto a sidewalk while the pickup flipped over and crashed against a street-light pole.

The reports also indicate that a third vehicle may have also been involved in the accident. The accident happened right before 2:00 p.m.

When medical teams arrived to help, they found four people suffering from injuries. An ambulance immediately transported all four injured victims to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating to determine what caused the accident. They’re checking to see if drugs and alcohol were contributing factors.
