Redding, CA – One Dead, One Injured after Traffic Accident at Churn Road near St. Luke’s Anglican Church
Redding, CA (July 12, 2018) – Local news sources reported that one person died and a second sustained injuries as the result of a traffic accident that took place on Churn Road near St. Luke’s Anglican Church. The incident occurred at some time around 5:00 PM in the late afternoon on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Authorities have identified the deceased victim as 35-year old Jordan Tony Ray Hiland. No information concerning the identity of the passenger who was in the vehicle with Hiland has been released at this time.
As per the report, Hiland was driving a 2006 Honda Pilot in Redding when, for indeterminate reasons, he swerved off the road and crashed in a nearby ditch by the Church. Officials confirmed Hiland later succumbed to fatal trauma and died.
Meanwhile, the passenger in the Honda was allegedly transported to Mercy Medical Center to receive treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
