Redwood City, CA – Individual Injured in Highway 101 Motorcycle Accident

Redwood City, CA (January 21, 2019) – Police say that one individual was injured in a motorcycle accident that took place on Highway 101 on Saturday afternoon, January 19.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene around 12:15 p.m. to find that a red sports bike and a motor vehicle collided for reasons that are not yet known. The accident took place on the off-ramp in the southbound lanes.

When paramedics arrived, they found that the motorcycle rider was injured and lying in the slow lane. The motorcycle was lying over on the road in the Number 4 lane as well.

The motorcyclist received multiple abrasions to the left side of his back and complained of pain in the back and legs. The driver of the motor vehicle sustained major damage to the front-end of their vehicle and ended up on the right-hand shoulder of the highway following the forceful impact.

At this time, the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
