Motorcycle Accidents in California
The reason motorcycle accidents are increasing in California every year is because drivers aren’t always looking out for motorcyclists even though they’re required to by law. When drivers are focusing on other things while they’re on the road, it’s impossible for them to be aware of motorcycles since they’re smaller and harder to see. For this reason, most motorcycle accidents are based on claims of negligence. When a driver fails to exercise a certain level of care, they’re committing a civil wrong and will be held liable for any damages and losses. Motorcycle accident damages include current and future medical expenses, loss of earnings, and pain and suffering, and more. If a motorcyclist is held partly liable, then the amount of compensation they’ll receive decreases.
Once the police get to the bottom of what caused this accident, the injured motorcyclist could file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of an experienced attorney. It’s vital for the motorcyclist to file the lawsuit as soon as possible before the claim is considered barred.
