Richmond, CA – One Person Hospitalized in Car Accident on Interstate 80 near Central Avenue
Richmond, CA – (November 15, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle accident that landed one person in the hospital Thursday morning. The collision took place at approximately 5:30 am on Interstate 80, just east of the Central Avenue off-ramp.
A silver Honda Accord collided with two other vehicles while traveling westbound on Interstate 80 Thursday morning. Paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident and transported at least one person to Kaiser Permanente Richmond Medical Center for injuries sustained to the neck and the chest. Tow trucks were dispatched to the crash scene to remove debris and vehicle wreckage from the roadway. Authorities are still trying to determine the events that transpired prior to the initial impact.
The California Highway Patrol has assumed authority over this investigation.
