Richmond, CA – Tractor-Trailer Slams into Car on I-80 Freeway

Richmond, CA (July 18, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported an accident involving a large commercial tractor-trailer and a gray Honda Accord on the Interstate 80 Freeway Wednesday morning. The injurious collision reportedly took place around 8:19 a.m. at the Cutting Boulevard off-ramp when the tractor-trailer apparently rear-ended the Honda.

According to the report that was filed by the California Highway Patrol, damages and injuries were sustained in the collision. The Honda reportedly suffered serious damage to the rear-end of the vehicle while at least one person inside the Honda sustained relatively minor injuries. Paramedics were called to the scene and arrived promptly in order to assist the injured individual.

At this time, there is no more information available concerning which vehicle was at fault for the accident or exactly how it occurred. The name of the victim and the specific extent of their injuries has not yet been released. Investigators are currently working diligently in an effort to establish liability.
