Rio Nido, CA. 70-Year-Old Man killed in Fatal Pedestrian and Motorcycle Crash on River Road.

Rio Nido, CA. (July 11, 2018) – According to a local and reliable news source, a deadly crash took place between a motorcycle and an elderly pedestrian which claimed the life of the latter. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident took place late Tuesday afternoon at exactly 4:14 p.m. on River Road, close to Guerneville.

The 70-year-old man had reportedly been walking southbound down River Road when he was struck by the motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man from Petaluma. The victim was immediately transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with very serious, life-threatening injuries. The man tragically succumbed to those injuries at the hospital.

The motorcyclist was sadly taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital to be treated for moderate injuries following the accident. The California Highway Patrol stated they believe that neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the crash. Nevertheless, a thorough investigation into this incident is currently being conducted.
