Riverside, CA – 1 Dead, 1 In Critical Condition After 2-Car Crash

Riverside, CA (April 6, 2019) – A multi-vehicle accident involving two vehicles occurred on April 5 just before 10:30 a.m., that took the life at least one person and critically injured another.

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of this fatal accident that took place on California Avenue near Sherman Drive in Riverside.  A westbound gold Saturn was being driven by an 84-year-old resident of Riverside. He made a left turn onto southbound Sherman and was hit by an eastbound silver Ford Taurus that was being driven by a 42-year-old Riverside resident.

Emergency responders were called to the scene to render aid the injured drivers. The woman who was seated in the front passenger seat of the Saturn passed away at the scene due to her injuries. The 84-year-old driver of the Saturn was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Ford garnered only minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
