Riverside, CA. 1 Killed, Several Hurt in Collision on 91 Freeway
Riverside, CA. (July 7, 2018) – A local and reliable news source reported a serious crash that tragically claimed the life of one person and injured several others Saturday morning on the 91 Freeway in Riverside. The collision between an SUV and a pickup truck took place at around 8:29 a.m. by the Central Avenue off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pickup truck overturned as a result of the impact of the collision. Reportedly, one passenger who was riding in the pickup truck had been ejected during the crash. Unfortunately, that passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Reports state that two people who were in the pickup truck were also injured, as well as three occupants in the SUV. The paramedics who arrived at the scene immediately transported all injured victims to a local hospital.
It has been worded that the pickup truck may have been involved in a police pursuit before the crash, but that information has not been confirmed. Authorities are presently investigating all aspects of this accident in an effort to concretely determine liability.
