Riverside, CA – One Child Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway by Ontario Avenue

Riverside, CA (August 11, 2018) – The California Highway Patrol reported a crash that resulted in the injury of a child Saturday morning on the Interstate 15 Freeway in Riverside. The collision which was reported to have occurred in the southbound lanes of the interstate near Ontario Avenue at around 10:33 a.m.

Two vehicles are believed to be the only cars involved. However, authorities who responded to the scene stated that there were four vehicles at the location of the crash. The events that transpired and subsequently caused the collision have not been determined at this time.

Medical personnel was immediately called to the scene following the wreck in order to attend to any victims. According to the reports that were filed, one child was injured in the accident, although it was not immediately specified whether or not the juvenile required hospitalization. Neither the name nor the extent of the injuries the child sustained has been released at this time.

No further information has been made available in regards to the cause of this accident. Authorities are actively conducting an investigation into the events that led to the crash.
