Roseville, California – Woman Sustains Injuries after Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 65
Roseville, California (June 28, 2018) – Sacramento local news sources reported that a woman sustained severe injuries after a collision between a Nissan Altima and an unidentified white SUV on Highway 65, north of the Pleasant Grove Boulevard off-ramp. The incident took place a little before 2:00 PM on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Authorities have not revealed detailed information concerning the identities of both drivers at this time.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a female motorist was driving a Nissan Altima down Highway 65. At the same time, a white SUV swerved across the road and slammed into the Nissan, which overturned and crashed into a pole. Further reports indicated the female Nissan driver had tried to swerve out of the path of the oncoming SUV but ultimately lost control.
First responders extracted the motorist from the Nissan and transported her to Sutter Roseville Hospital, where she received treatment for severe injuries.
At present, authorities are attempting to locate the driver of the SUV. Law enforcement has not revealed if the accident will be labeled as a hit-and-run.
In the meantime, officials shut down lanes 2 and 3 on Highway 65 after the crash. As of now, the investigation into the case is ongoing.
