Sacramento, CA – Highway Patrol Officer Injured in Motorcycle Accident at 30th and F

Sacramento, CA (March 1, 2019) – A California Highway Patrol Officer was injured in a serious motorcycle accident when he was thrown from his bike at 30^th and F Streets. The incident took place on Thursday afternoon after the officer slammed into a pickup truck.

The officer had been driving his motorcycle northbound on 30^th Street when the collision occurred. He had been approaching the F Street intersection when a gray Ford pickup truck went into another lane directly in front of the officer.

The officer attempted to apply his brakes but it was too late and he slammed into the Ford. The officer was injured but is expected to be okay. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver and passenger in the Ford did not receive injuries in the accident. They remained at the scene to cooperate with police. The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
